Itinerary |
4/22/12 Leave Green
Valley and drive to Canyon De Chelly (8 hour
drive). Overnight at Thunderbird
Lodge 800-679-2473 ($115/$122 Group Rate, 50% deposit) or Holiday
Inn 928-674-5000 ($64 Group Rate). 4/23/12 3 hour tour of
Canyon de Chelly ($52) then drive to Monument
Valley (2.5 hour drive). Overnight at Goulding Lodge

up) or Kayenta Inn -
928-697-3221 ($72 Group Rate). 4/24/12 Tour of the
Monument Valley environs. Morning or afternoon Jeep tours are available,
about $50 each. Some free time to explore, some routes may require 4 Wheel
Drive or High Clearance Vehicle. 4/25/12 Return to Green
Valley (7.5 hour drive) or stay in the area and do more exploring on your
own. Options are Arches
National Park, Valley of
the Gods, Antelope Canyon (Page
AZ). |

Cost |
Motel reservations are on
your own. The Club will be making several tours available which will be
scheduled when the number of signups is determined. For additional
information call Carl at 215-872-1325 or csparfeld@cox.net. Group rates have been
arranged at some of the motels mentioned above, ask
when making reservations for group rates for the Green Valley Camera Club. Taxes on all arrangements
range from 13% to 22% additional to the prices in this flyer, depending on
location and tribal taxes. |

RV Availability |
RV Camping spaces are
available at the Cottonwood Campground at Canyon De Chelly.
This is free and is Dry Camping (restrooms, carry your own water, a dump
station, no hookups). The maximum length
for RV's and trailers is 35 feet.
Campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. In Monument Valley, Gouldings Campground also offers camping 6 minutes from the Visitors Center. $44 full hookup, $25 no hookups. (435) 727-3231. |
